What’s your Intel Iris Pro Graphics card? Recently, we are working with Intel together to do the Iris Pro Graphics P’s validation. However, the testing runs on the Windows Desktop PC, not on Mac Pro, we could not grantee they share the same result.

It is fine to run Inventor on such device, and if there’s any problem you find may relate with the special graphics card, you could raise up or contact me directly, we will follow up and see whether Inventor can resolve or not. We purchased a new 15″ Macbook Pro Retina this summer for one of our Project Lead the Way teachers in our district. We setup a Windows 10 boot camp environment and he is using Autodesk The problem he is having has to do with the resolution afforded to the Retina display.

Apparently the font size is so small within Inventor that his students can’t read the coordinates etc. from where they are sitting when it is plugged into a projector.

Do you have any thoughts or resources you could point our way in terms of how to tweak the windows 10 environment to make the font more usable with the Inventor app? Increasing this value should show bigger icons in the scene graph, and even some texts. Sure, The problem has to do with the dimension font apparently. As you can see in this photo the dimensions are extremely small. I’m going to have him try what you suggested in your previous post.

I have a second question. The same teacher has an iMac with Autodesk Inventor running in Parallels windows 7 and on that machine the dimensions are completely missing there’s a blank where they should be.

He’s uninstalled Inventor and reinstalled and has the same issue. Any thoughts there? Would you please upgrade the graphics driver for both your Mac OS and the driver in the Parallel enviroment? Not sure what’s your graphics card, NVIDIA or AMD?

In the end I went for the higher spec MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon R9 MX Graphics Card. Not sure on the type of Iris Pro Graphics however. It turns out that Apple dropped the support for Windows 7 and bootcamp so I went straight to Windows All drivers currently work well and Inventor is running smoothly.

I also had to do the dimension fix that Scott mentioned. I will let you know if I have any problems even if I manage to solve them as it is an unusual configuration at the moment ie.
